Android 8.0 Oreo update now available for international LG V20 models

If you’re the owner of the international unlocked version of the LG V20 (H990DS) then you’ll be thrilled to know that the company has started sending out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for your device.

The update brings software version H99020D on board of the device and weighs 1851.43MB. So make sure you’re connected to a stable Wi-Fi before starting the download process. Also, it’s also recommended to have at least 50% battery before you commence. Note that the Hong Kong (H990N) model is also receiving the update.

The LG V20 launched back in 2016 with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and now two years later the international version is finally getting the much craved for Android 8.0 Oreo update.

The new build has been available for owners of the V20 at Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, and now the international model is finally getting the same treatment.

Not all users of the international version of the V20 are seeing the Oreo update, and if that’s the case with you, don’t fret. It probably needs a few more days to arrive.

But what about a Pie update for the V20? It’s possible, but we can’t be 100% sure at this point. The phone might receive the new build sometime in Q3 2019, but we’re just speculating at this point.
