Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 should release soon

Galaxy A3 2017

The fact that Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy A3 2017 was booting the two-year-old Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box was quite a bit of a bummer for many. That, however, seems to change soon.

The Galaxy A3 2017 with the model number SM-A320x was spotted paying a visit to the GFXBench running Android 7.0 Nougat. This means the update is already in the pipeline and could be rolled out to the Galaxy A3 2017 handsets real soon.

To recall, last month we spotted its bigger sibling, the Galaxy A7 2017 on GFXBench running Nougat. Now that the A3 has also made it to the listing we can expect the company to roll out the update to all the three A series handsets including the Galaxy A5 2017 at once.

Launched earlier this year, the Galaxy A3 2017 features a 4.7-inch HD display. It is powered by an in-house Exynos 7870 chipset and packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.

The smartphone has a 13MP sensor on the back and an 8MP sensor at the front for selfies. A 2,350mAh battery backs the entire package.
