Android 10 update for T-Mobile Galaxy S10 and Note 10 is close!

The newest version of the most popular mobile OS in the world, Android 10, is now live. However, if you don’t have the privilege of flaunting a Google Pixel, Essential Phone, or OnePlus 7 Pro, you probably haven’t had the chance to take it out for a spin. But if you’re at T-Mobile with a Galaxy S10 and Note 10, the Android 10 update may not be far now.

Samsung, one of the largest OEMs in the world, launched the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 lineup this year — featuring arguably the best premium devices on the market right now. The South Korean OEM has always been great at assembling best-in-class smartphones but doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to software updates.

T-Mobile has already started testing Android 10 update from Samsung on its Galaxy S10, S10+, S10 5G, Note10, and Note10+, which means that the highly-anticipated software update could be right around the corner. If everything goes according to plan, T-Mobile would release the beefy update over the air (OTA) soon. If not, Samsung would need to tweak their Android 10-based One UI 2.0 according to T-Mobile and submit for re-checking. That’s the process.

Samsung usually launches a beta program before rolling out the stable public build. The OEM is yet to announce a beta program for Android 10, but we could see it an official press release in the coming days.

What’s great about T-Mobile Android 10 testing is that it’s happening must earlier than usual. Usually, this sort of testing happens sometime in December-January (example: S9’s Pie update) when Samsung has a stable build in hand that it gives to US carriers for testing. However, we are into this about 2-3 months in advance. And that’s a very good sign.

Android 10 update comes with cool new features such as Dark mode, Bubbles, QR code support for Wi-Fi passwords, Live caption, and more.
