Leaked ZTE Z986 specs point at Android 7.1.1 Nougat powered budget level phablet device

ZTE already has some devices in ZTE K813 and ZTE BA603 lined up for release in next few months but it seems there is another one we should add to ZTE upcoming devices list, dubbed as ZTE Z986.

A new ZTE device, which goes by the moniker Z986, has been spotted on GFXBench today. It looks like the ZTE Z986 specs list would feature 6″ Full HD display, and will be powered by the Qualcomm 625 SOC.

Furthermore, the ZTE Z986 is likely to include 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which should be expandable using a microSD card. On the camera front, the Z986 implements a 12MP rear camera (could be 13MP cam) complemented by a 5MP sensor on the front.

From the looks of it, the ZTE Z986 looks like a phablet for those not much to spend on a phone, but what we like the best about it si that it would be launching with Android 7.1.1 pre-installed. As Nougat brings some very cool features, this is a big plus.

It is also highly probable that this model might be similar to the ZTE Z986DL and Z986U which we covered in early January thanks to Bluetooth SIG.
