ZTE releases Axon 7 Android 7.1 update in China

ZTE’s Axon 7 flagship is next up for the Android 7.1 Nougat update. The 7.1 OTA is now seeding for the Chinese users as software version ZTE_A2017V1.1.0B09. ZTE’s skin MiFavor UI 4.2 runs on top of Nougat here, and it seems the base version for the 7.1 OTA is ZTE_A2017V1.0.0B13.

The Axon 7, like the OnePlus 3, has deemed itself worthy enough to receive the title of flagship killer. Armed with the Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM, which powers a 5.5-inch AMOLED Quad HD display, the ZTE Axon 7 carves its own niche into an area dominated by more expensive competing flagships.

All in all, the Axon 7 has no compromises and features everything a regular user would need. ZTE hasn’t cut any corners with their flagship to make up for the cost which means you would get NFC, Quick Charge 3.0 and a very sturdy all metal build. The before mentioned features are where OEMs usually try to save on cost.

With the update hitting China, we could expect Nougat to arrive soon to other countries soon.
