ZTE launches Blade L3, laughs on Galaxy J1 and Samsung

If you are in the market for a budget device running latest Android OS, Lollipop, you really don’t have many exciting choices, even though XOLO One bucks the trend. Thankfully, ZTE has listened and has come up with the Blade L3, which comes with Android 5.0 pre-installed and is also expected to be pricing at the bottom end of the price spectrum, but exact price isn’t known yet.

Yesterday, we saw Samsung making the Galaxy J1 official with a specsheet that poor that it didn’t even deserve the $115 pricing. On the other hand, the ZTE Blade L3 is pretty nice handset, and if it’s priced around $100-110, it’s a killer device.

The ZTE Blade L3 specs include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582M quad-core processor, which together with 1GB RAM, is more than able to get you a smooth experience in use, although it might stutter when heavy games come asking. For its expected price, it cannot be a complain, though.

ZTE Blade L3 boasts of a 5-inch display, with the qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It’s not a great display for sure, but it’s a nice step-up from the Android One devices, which catered to this price range last year.

You’ll also find an 8MP camera at Blade L3’s back, while the one in front is a 2MP snapper. The internal storage of Blade L3 is 8GB, and the battery of ZTE Blade L3 is sufficient 2000mAh.

We’ll update you when we hear about the price, but till then, be sure to keep your next budget smartphone purchase on hold, because you must consider Blade L3 as one option.

ZTE is said to make available the Blade L3 is several “unique pearlescent colors“. We think its colors would be welcomed by the youth, who are the target audience for the device.

ZTE hasn’t revealed to us yet about in which country it will release the Blade L3, and when, but it’s expected to be revealed soon. Keep watching this space!
