The Yu smartphones Yureka and Yuphoria are expected to soon receive the Cyanogen OS 12.1 update that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop platform. The CEO of Yu, Rahul Sharma tipped that the update is soon to be rolled out as he revealed that the same is in the final phase of testing.
Talking of the possible changes that this update will bring to the smartphones, the executive said that a limited set of the smartphones faced issues with the proximity sensor and that this update will be providing the patches including the auto calibration of the proximity sensor.
He further stated that they are prepping an updated firmware for the keyboard that will enhance the typing and gestures. The complete camera stack seems to have been rebuilt with reworked camera tunings. This is said to improve the camera to a great extent by letting it capture more details under different lighting conditions.
