[Xposed] Get Galaxy S5 like power saving Grayscale display feature on Galaxy NOTE 3 and other Samsung devices

Manufacturers are finally paying attention to provide in-built power saving features on their smartphones. Samsung’s latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S5, has the Ultra Power Saving Mode which ceases your smartphone to be no more smart and instead makes it that old-school phone that could only call and receive messages and don’t have a color display.

However, Samsung kept the Ultra Power Saving Mode to be a Galaxy S5 exclusive feature only, we were hoping Samsung would release the feature via an OTA to at-least Galaxy NOTE 3 and Galaxy S4 but that just didn’t happen.

Anyway, you can rejoice a bit of the power saving mode from Galaxy S5 on your Galaxy NOTE 3 and other Samsung devices with the help of an Xposed module developed by XDA member, xperiacle. The module doesn’t have all the power saving features like that Galaxy S5 but it does sorts out the most important one, Grayscale display!

Grayscale display renders your device’s display completely into Grayscale mode saving huge amount of battery juice for times when a color-less display isn’t a problem to you, but battery power is. The phone demands less power to run the display when Grayscale mode is on.
