[Xposed] How to let Apps to Save/Write Files to External SD card on Marshmallow

Don’t like how Android 6.0 Marshmallow stops your apps from saving/writing files to your device’ external SD card? Well, that is too keep your important data secure. But in case you don’t feel the need for it, there’s an Xposed module out there that might be of help.

Marshmallow SD Fix Xposed module let’s Apps to save files to the external SD card on Marshmallow running devices. The setup is simple, you install/activate the Marshmallow SD Fix Xposed module on your device and add the apps you want to give write access to SD card.

NOTE: Since this is an Xposed module, make sure you have Xposed Framework installed on your device before proceeding.

How to let Apps to Save/Write to External SD Card on Marshmallow
  1. Download and install the Marshmallow SD Fix Xposed module from the link above.
  2. Activate the module from Xposed Installer app.
  3. Open Module and add the Apps you want to give write access for external SD Card.
  4. Reboot your device.

Your apps should be able to save files to the external SD card now even when you’re running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
