Today, Xiaomi has announced a limited edition variant of its flagship device, Mi Note in India. Well, the device is called Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition that comes with a natural bamboo back panel.
As per Xiaomi, the Bamboo back measures only 0.9 mm in thickness and adds only a mere 5 grams to the weight of the normal Mi Note. Notably, the standard variant of the Mi Note features 2.5D curved glass layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on its front and back panels. In the limited edition variant, the glass on back of the device is replaced with bamboo.
Of course, the bamboo back will not be scratch resistant as compared to the Gorilla Glass 3 on the standard variant of the Xiaomi Mi Note, but it is sure that the bamboo back will provide a great grip to the users.
The Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition has been launched in the Chinese market for the same pricing as the original Mi Note at RMB 2,299 that translates approximately to Rs 23,300. This device will be going on sale in the region from March 24.
When it comes to specifications, the limited edition Mi Note will carry the same aspects as the original Mi Note. It will house a 5.7 inch full HD display and is equipped with a 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. The device comes in two variants – 16 GB and 64 GB of non-expandable native storage support.
Other goodies onboard the Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition include a 13 MP main snapper with dual tone flash and optical image stabilization, a 4 MP selfie snapper, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and dual SIM functionality.
