Xiaomi Mi 5X with dual rear cameras gets official, release date set for July 26

Xiaomi Mi 5X

It was only yesterday details surrounding the Xiaomi’s upcoming mid-range Mi 5X leaked. And now, we have a launch date for the same as well.

Xiaomi’s Mi Weibo handle has just posted an image with Kris Wu, a Chinese-Canadian actor holding the Xiaomi Mi 5X. The image, as you can see from the above, reveals that the smartphone will be launched on July 26.

What’s interesting, though, is that the Weibo post mentions that smartphone runs MIUI 9 which means we can expect the Chinese company to release the latest MIUI update on the same day which falls in line with the earlier rumors.

Another noticeable feature is the presence of dual camera module and the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. As for the specs, the Mi 5X is expected to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display.

Under-the-hood will be the Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Currently, there’s no word on the battery capacity or any other details. The good news, however, is that you don’t have to wait long.

Yesterday’s leak, btw, has also revealed the pricing information according to which, the Mi 5X will set you back by CNY 1999 (approximately $295).
