A few days ago we brought you the Xiaomi product roadmap in which we took a look at four brand-new, up and coming Mi phones with the Redmi Note 2 expected to be the first new kid on the block.
Well, leakster upleaks recently posted a render along with device specifications which may belong to the Note 2 Pro. If you remember, there was quite a bit of confusion regarding the H3 series of codenames for the Xiaomi devices with H3X and H3Y standing out.
However, after the leaked roadmap, it became clear that the H3X is the Redmi Note 2 while Redmi Note 2 Pro is the device named as H3Y in Xiaomi’s private jargon.
Coming back to the leak — which according to upleaks belong to a Redmi device codenamed Hermes with the model number H3Y — the dual-sim device will come with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 chipset with octa-core CPU backed by 2 GB of RAM.
Camera geeks will have plenty to gloat over in form of the 13MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL image sensor and the 5MP front camera with OmniVision OV5670 image sensor. The device will run the Android Lollipop — no word on which version yet — layered with the MIUI 6.
Well, the specs — if true — certainly point towards a powerful piece of hardware, however considering that not even as much as an official peek has been made by Xiaomi on the topic, a pinch of salt would be advisable.
