What is Google Magic on Pixel phones?

Leaks about Pixel phones aren’t stopping as we near the launch of Google’s new range of Android devices later tonight.

The latest leak about Pixel and Pixel XL come from Verizon as the carrier listed the two phones on its website with some of their highlighting features. The one that caught our eyes the most is Google Magic.

What could be Google Magic? We all know the new Pixel phones are launching as fully Google branded. There will be no mention of original manufacturer on device body, nor in software or anywhere else. These Pixel phones are made by Google devices.

So naturally our first guess is there will be certain things on the Pixel devices that’ll be exclusive to Pixel and Pixel XL only. Google Magic might actually be something that rumor mill has been claiming to be a Google UI exclusive for Pixel devices.

Rumor had it that the new Pixel and Pixel XL phones will feature certain enhancements by Google that the search engine giant will not publish to Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Meaning, Google is building user experiences on top of Android that will be not shared with other manufactures who make Android devices. This is a huge step by Google as it now stands to compete directly with other Android devices on market.

We’ll update this post later as we find out more about Google Magic at the official launch of Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones later tonight. Stay tuned..

Happy Androiding!
