Vodafone Launches Nexus One in Australia for FREE with $79 Monthly Payment

Nexus One Australia Luanch by Vodafone

After breaking into South Korea recently, Nexus One has now crossed Australian borders as it has been launched by Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA).

The Google’s super phone is said to be available for free on a 24  month contract with monthly payment of $79. Seeing the competition, the  seller of HTC Desire in Australia, Telstra has dropped per month payments of its phone to $49 and $79 with free data of 200MB and 500MB respectively.

While the Korean launch of Nexus One gave Android Version 2.2, Froyo pre-installed, no such word is available here. Rather, it’s been indicated that it might launch with Android2.1 only. But we know, Google is sending over-the-air update to all nexus one users to upgrade their phone to Froyo. Maybe, Australia has been considered here.

VHA is believed to offer data plans that are two to ten times of the normal plan, depending on the type of contract.

The launch of Nexus One will help our Australian Android fanboys in selection with the availability of two super phones in the market. Which one you think is the winner?
