VK launches ‘VK Live’ Android app to let you stream live on the social network

The name VK may not ring a bell to our non-Russian readers but we’d be remiss to not mention that VK is the largest European online social media and social networking service. The social platform is available in several languages and is especially popular among our Russian-speaking users.

The company recently launched another app on the Google Play Store called VK Live which aims to provide a live streaming service on the VK network. The app, which is eerily similar to periscope, lets you broadcast yourself to thousands of people in real-time and become popular.

Furthermore, the VK Live app enables you to broadcast live videos either in app, or on your VK wall. It also provides you with a platform to watch or send gifts to your friends or favorite streamers, interact with your viewers using various features like comments, stickers or even hearts. VK Live also gives you a sense of competition by providing you with opportunities to earn votes during your streams by receiving gifts from your viewers and using the obtained votes to buy custom stickers. Exciting right?

The features may be a bit daunting and flashy to new users at the first go but VK’s latest app ensures that its regular users have more stuff to do and ensures that they interact with their platform more often. Download the app below and check out the latest offering by VK.
