Ahem.. if you’ve been a Verizon user for long enough, you’d know the release date for Android Nougat update for the Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants will be worst of all.
Verizon holds the worst reputation when it comes it releasing major Android updates to its devices. It’s so bad that even the flagship models get Android updates on Verizon after 4-5 months of the official release of the update to international variants of the said devices.
We expect Android Nougat for Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to arrive at-least after 3 months of Samsung’s release of the update to the international variants of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
Google will be releasing Android Nougat update for Nexuses by the end of Summer 2016. And it generally takes 30-60 days for Samsung to release the update to its latest flagship device. So the international variants of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge should get the Android Nougat update by the end of November 2016.
Now if international Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants are to get Nougat update by November 2016, we expect Verizon to release the update by February or March 2017.
