Verizon pushes June security update to BlackBerry PRIV with build AAL748

Since few months, Verizon has been constantly pushing security updates to BlackBerry PRIV. After receiving May security patch last month, the BlackBerry PRIV is now receiving June security patch for Verizon customers.

The June security patch arrives with the build number AAL748 and weighs 126.7 MB. To recall, the previous update that arrived in May had version number AAL425 and the one that arrived before that came with build number AAK687.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.

Meanwhile, BlackBerry has already pushed out June security patch for its global BlackBerry PRIV users.
