Verizon Galaxy S3 Update to fix No Sim error released

Verizon Galaxy S3 No Sim Issue Solving Update

Finally, the Verizon Galaxy S3 users get the much needed software update for their phone, which fixes the nagging “No Sim” issue on the Verizon Galaxy S3 and also brings various other goodies. The update’s version is, VRALG7, about which we’ve talked earlier too.

So, apart from solving the No Sim error on phone, other features of the update include: a Remote Diagnostics Tool (that could be used by Verizon helpline guys to look for information in your phone to help you, after getting a nod from you), more reliability in NFC chip’s use and improvement of some sorts in Backup assistant.

But along with all the welcome features listed above, there’s a spoiler: the unified search functionality of the phone appears to be at the receiving end of the Samsung-Apple patent battle, as the update limits it to search on Internet only, preventing you to the search to look for contacts and apps from right there.

To update your software version of your Verizon Galaxy S3 with VRALG7, simply go to settings » About Device » Software Update » and click on Check Now.

If you were more than annoyed with the No Sim error, it’s time you update at the latest. But if that’s not the case, you may want to think twice before updating your Galaxy S3, especially if you are a heavy user of Google search widget, which you should be.

  1. Nope, didn’t work. Still getting the no sim error when trying to place a call or text at least 25% of the time.
