Verizon Galaxy Nexus Release Date Confirmed — It’s December 2011

Finally, an official word appears for the much-hyped launch of Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Wireless — biggest carrier in the US. While we would prefer Verizon’s word more than that of Samsung when it comes to launch dates, the latter’s reported confirmation to Business Insider, that Galaxy Nexus would launch next month in December — no particular date or week mentioned — still serves as music to our ears.

There has been a lot of drama regarding the exact release date of Galaxy Nexus, which has already launched in UK and is due for release in US (as exclusive to Verizon) and other major markets. Verizon has already had two big launches — HTC Rezound and Motorola’s Droid Razr — so maybe they’re waiting (intentionally!), delaying the launch of Galaxy Nexus to so that it simply doesn’t destroy the party of these 2 phones, which are otherwise so great.

Anyway, think that rumored December 8 launch date is indeed the final one? It has to be well before Christmas, right?

  1. Didn’t Samsung “confirm” that it was to be released in November?  My wait for this phone ends one way or the other on December 9th.
