Uber app update gets friendly with Android Wear, introduces home and work shortcuts too

Uber, the taxi-booking app service, has got a new update designed just for Android Wear. The update, which was released yesterday, is Android Wear friendly.

The size and version of the updated Uber app, however, varies with the device. But what remains constant are a couple of new features which the update brings along with it.

Being Android Wear friendly, the updated Uber app allows you to request a ride even if you don’t have your phone on you.

Other features allow you to find your top destinations quickly with shortcuts to home and work. You can also check your driver’s progress at a glance with the new updated app, and then get back to the moment.

Usually, Uber notifies an user when a new version of the app is available. If you have got it, just tap the notification to download. Or else you can grab it over at Play Store.
