Toshiba launches the 10.1″ Tegra 3-powered Excite 10 SE

Toshiba’s latest Android tablet, the Excite 10 SE, is finally ready to go on sale, a month after it was officially announced by the company. The Excite 10 SE is a 10.1-inch tablet that runs on Android 4.1 and is powered by a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, and at $349 for the 16GB model, it is one of the cheapest high-end 10-inch tablets out there.

Here are the official specs:

  • 10.1″ AutoBrite HD display (1280 x 800 pixels)
  • Tegra 3 quad-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 3 megapixel rear camera, HD video recording
  • 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera
  • 16GB storage, microSD slot
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0
  • Stereo speakers with SRS Premium Voice Pro
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

The Excite 10 SE will go on sale on December 6th at Toshiba Direct and select retailers. Of course, with the Nexus 10 available at $399 with an amazingly powerful Exynos processor, high resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels) display, Android 4.2, and with the guarantee of updates that a Nexus device enjoys, it’s going to be hard for the Excite 10 SE to see many sales. But who knows, maybe the fact that the Nexus 10 is out of stock everywhere will help Toshiba, along with better marketing.

  1. Good post. I learn something new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon on a daily basis.

It’s always helpful to read through articles from other writers and use a
    little something from other sites.
