Taskbar now lets you launch apps in Freeform mode from anywhere while restricting games to full-screen

Taskbar is a pretty amazing app that basically tries to give you a PC-like multi-tasking experience on your Android device by putting a Start menu on top of your device’s screen, at selected location (any of the four sides of display) of your choice that you can access from anywhere. All your apps are listed there alphabetically either in the grid format or list view as you want it to be.

Tap on an app to launch it from any screen, thus giving you a quick way to launch apps on your device. Moreover, it also lists the recently used apps for faster access. If you are a fan of multi-tasking, this is the app for you.

The above features work on all devices running Android 5.0 and above, however, on Nougat, the app also features Freeform or floating windows. Earlier, the floating windows could be launched only from the recent apps screen, thus limiting the capability of the app, but with the recent update of 3.1, the app allows you to launch Freeform apps from anywhere.

Also, if you are bothered by the games that launch in Freeform mode, the latest update allows you to prevent the games from launching in that particular mode, so that they launch only in full-screen mode — though, you would have to set it in options first.
