Sony Audio Effects engine, new battery indicator introduced in latest Xperia X concept update

A new Xperia X concept update is being rolled out by Sony which introduces a bunch of new features. Arriving as as firmware version 38.3.1.A.0.91, the latest Xperia X concept update weighs around 52MB.

Enhancing the music quality, the Android 7.1.1 based update introduces Sony’s Audio Effects engine for MusicFX app. Thus, Sony Audio Effects Engine and Google’s integrated MusicFX audio functions will get combined and, henceforth, the later will use Sony’s audio engine instead of the proprietary Android audio effects.

Other new features which this update brings are fix for Bluetooth restart problem and a graphical bug for camera app shortcuts. Further, it adds VoWifi support in Germany (Vodafone, O2 and Telekom) and VoLTE and VoWifi in Telenor Norway, Hutch (3) Danmark/Sweden.

Another noticeable change brought about the latest Xperia X concept update is shifting the battery percentage indicator outside of the icon in the status bar. Now, it will be much easier to know the battery life left.
