It has to be mentioned that Xiaomi witnessed massive success with its Mi Band fitness tracker and it has already shipped over six million units of the device priced at $15. Announced in July 2014, the Mi Band fitness tracker seems to be getting a successor soon.

The details of the possible second generation wearable device allegedly known the Mi Band 2 have started surfacing online. Well, to be specific, the renders of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 have surfaced online. It seems like the upcoming wearable from the Chinese firm will feature a touch screen this year.

Talking of the differences between these two wearable devices is the display. The upcoming Mi Band 2 is said to arrive with a touch screen display that was missing in the original Mi Band. It is claimed that the second generation model will feature an NFC chip that will let the users to connect the Mi Band to another Mi Band.

Of course, the Mi Band 2 could be more expensive than the yesteryear model as it is said to arrive with these impressive features baked in it. As of now, there is no specific time frame of when this wearable from Xiaomi will be launched or on its possible price tag.
