LINE adds support for group video calls in landscape mode, new effects and filters, and more

LINE

LINE, the on-demand chat app has rolled out a new update to its users today adding several new features to the app.

To start with, it now has a recently updated profiles section under the Friends tab which, as the name itself suggests, gives a sneak peak of the profiles that have been updated a short time ago.

In an attempt to make video calling fun, the company has added a bunch of new effects and filters. Also, the update adds full support for group video calls in landscape mode.

Besides, LINE users now get an option to save images in Keep in their original resolution. Also, the quality of the videos that are saved in Keep has also been improved.

The company seems to have made some changes (improvements mostly) to the timeline as well as the posting process. In addition, it has also made the likes, comments, and shares received on posts more visible to the users.

  1. That’s an overload of features in one app. There is WhatsApp on one end of the spectrum with basic functionality and minimal approach(which does seem to be changing these days) and LINE on the other with a ton of features and designs. As long as it doesn’t feel cluttered and confusing, I think it is a good thing.
