Sprint Photon Q 4G LTE by Motorola in Works, Too? Wasn’t Evo 4G LTE Enough?

It seems Sprint is intent on adding as many 4G LTE enabled devices to its repertoire, in preparation of their 4G LTE service that is set to become available this year. As if the HTC EVO 4G LTE wasn’t enough, the latest rumor is that the successor to the Motorola Photon 4G is in the works at Sprint, in the form of the Photon Q 4G LTE.

Unfortunately, the name and the 4G LTE capability are the only details available at this point, with other specs still a mystery. Although the Q in the device’s name could mean that the phone will sport a QWERTY keyboard, as that’s what the letter Q usually indicates, or it could simply mean that the Photon Q 4G LTE will have a quad-core processor unlike the dual-core one on its predecessor.

With the HTC EVO 4G LTE and the Galaxy S3 on the radar, not to mention the Galaxy Nexus that just went on sale on Sprint’s network, the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE might not be too big of a deal when it comes out, unless it can match those devices on the hardware front.
