Sprint updates Galaxy S5 and Note 4 but it’s not Android 5.1, brings reactivation lock security to both devices

Sprint just went ahead and pushed an update backpacking the reactivation lock code to its Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 sets, but if you were waiting anxiously for the Android 5.1 update Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge received, you’re not in luck. At last today, that is to say, as we believe the Android 5.1.1 builds shouldn’t be far for both devices, at least for the Note 4.

Not that Sprint Galaxy S5 users would have to wait too long for Android 5.1. Because it’s already been released by Samsung for T-Mobile Galaxy S5, we are sure the other variants of the last year’s flagship device of the company, including the Sprint’s own S5, would receive it shortly too.

The build no of the Galaxy S5 update is G900PVPU3BOF6, while that of Note 4 is N910PVPU3BOF5. That’s your lot of today. Btw, Sprint has already launched the Android 5.1-cum-Reactivation lock update on its G Flex 2 smartphone too.
