Sprint Nexus 6 and Galaxy Note Edge receiving update to fix Stagefright vulnerability [Update: More devices add to list!]

Without a doubt, Sprint is doing its best — and is working pretty fast — to update its devices to fix the critical vulnerability in Android called Stagefright. After fixing the said bug in its Galaxy Note 4 along with Android 5.1 update, Sprint is rolling updates to fix the bug in Google Nexus 6 and Galaxy Note Edge starting today.

The build no. for Sprint Galaxy Note Edge update is N915PVPU4COG1, while that for Nexus 6 is LMY48I. UPDATE: More Sprint devices are receiving Stagefright fixer update today, so we’ve provided a full list devices with their build no at the bottom. Check out your device there, and if it’s listed, do a little how-to below to force the update on your device.

How to: If an OTA update notification hasn’t knocked at your device yet, try to force update from Settings > About device > Software update, and then tap on ‘Check for update’ button.
