Pics of Xperia GX LT29i Leaked, Ignore That Sony Ericsson Logo at Top

Sony’s most powerful Android device with the best specs – the Xperia GX – is currently exclusive to Japan with a release expected any time soon, with the rest of the world not currently in the list for such a beast of a device by Sony. However, the Xperia LT29i ‘Hayabusa’, details of which have leaked before, has been touted to be the unannounced international variant of the GX.

And now, a picture of the Xperia LT29i has cropped up online on XperiaBlog, which could mean that the device is indeed on its way for a future release. The device looks quite similar to the Japan-only Xperia GX, though some will cry foul over the Sony Ericsson logo on the top of the device (which is probably temporary and will most probably change to just Sony when the device is released). The Xperia GX is toted to have a 4.6-inch 720p display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with on-screen virtual buttons, making it the most powerful device from Sony as noted above and hence quite easily a highly desired device.

Of course, all is moot till Sony themselves make an official statement about the LT29i aka Hayabusa, which we hope comes out really soon. Sony very badly needs a device like the LT29i to make itself desirable in the face of highly powered device by other manufacturers such as HTC and Samsung (not that Sony is doing any bad with a lot of well-priced dual-core phones). What do you think? Already saving up to buy the LT29i whenever (if ever) it might come out? Let us know in the comments.
