This is a first of its kind and is great for saving battery life and increasing performance of a device. Samsung has kept it real simple to switch between different screen resolutions. Check out the instructions below to see how it’s done (if you’re running Samsung’s Nougat firmware):

  1. Open Settings on your Galaxy S7.
  2. Select Display » Screen resolution.
  3. Move the slider to set your preffered display size between HD, FHD and WQHD.
  4. Select APPLY from the top-bar to set your changes.

All your currently running apps will force close because of the change in screen resolution. But should work fine when you re-open them.
