Samsung Galaxy XCover 4 specs revealed via Geekbench

A new Samsung device has been spotted on Geekbench, and it looks like it could be the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4. The previous Xcover 3 Value edition was launched last year. The Xcover series features rugged protection and IP67 water resistance rating.

The new smartphone carries the model number SM-G390F and is seen running Android 7.0 Nougat. This device had also received certification from the WiFi Alliance last month.

The Geekbench listing also shows that the device has 2GB of RAM, and an Exynos based quad-core processor on board. Other specifications are currently unknown, but expect it to be rugged and waterproof.

The 2016 Galaxy Xcover 3 Value edition had a 4.5-inch display, Snapdragon 652 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. It featured a 2000mAh battery and ran Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Samsung could probably announce the Xcover 4 at the Mobile World Congress later this month. The Xcover series is for those who love the outdoors and are adventurous. Don’t expect it to have high end specs, but the 2017 variant will definitely be an upgrade from the 2016 Value Edition.
