Samsung to announce Galaxy S8 release date on February 27th at MWC

Samsung has finally spilled the beans about the launch date of its much awaited high-end flagship smartphone Galaxy S8. The Korean giant has made it clear that it will announce the S8 release date on February 27th at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

‘The official schedule for the release of Galaxy S8 will be announced at MWC’, Samsung President Kim Dong-jin said to reporters today after a meeting with the top brass of the conglomerate held in the Samsung group’s headquarters in Seocho, southern Seoul.

Uptil now, Samsung Electronics has unveiled its Galaxy S series smartphones at MWC event held every February. However, this year, the release date of the next Galaxy S series flagship smartphone has been pushed back due to the delay in the identification of the ignition source of Galaxy Note 7.
