Samsung Releases Android 4.0 Roadmap for Devices on US Carriers

Samsung, in an effort to tackle concerns on whether a device of theirs sold through a US carrier will be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 update, have released a list of devices that are eligible and will be getting the Android 4.0 update, with the list broken down carrier-wise.

Customers of AT&T seem to be the luckiest here, as a total of 6 Samsung device on AT&T will be getting the update, followed by Sprint and Verizon, both of whom will be providing the Android 4.0 update on two devices. On the other hand, no T-Mobile device has been mentioned in the list, with a message saying that Samsung are in touch with T-Mobile to ensure all eligible devices get the update. With Android 4.0 already out for more than 4 months, we wonder when T-Mobile customers will see the update if they haven’t even decided which devices will get the update yet.

In any case, this should make quite a few customers of the above mentioned carriers happy as they can now rest assured that the Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 update is coming to their devices, even though there’s no concrete dates or time period mentioned. Check the complete list of devices here.
