New Asus tablet with 4GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat spotted on GFXBench

The Taiwanese OEM Asus is working on a new device which has been spotted on GFXBench. The device is a Asus tablet with high-end specs rocking Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

As per the GFXBench listing, the Asus tablet sports 9.6 inch (2048 x 1536). It is powered by deca-core MediaTek8173 SoC clocked at 2.1 GHz. The Tab packs in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

On the camera section, there’s a 8MP rear camera with auto focus and flash while for selfies the Tab packs in 5MP front shooter. Other features include Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi.

Although Asus has not been able to make a startling mark for itself in the smartphone market, it remains amongst the top three brand names when it comes to laptops. In case of tablets as well, it stands to score well. As such, a new Tab on the block from Asus with such high-end specsheet is something we definitely look forward to.

As far as the pricing and release date is concerned, it will take some time before such details surface online. And with the Asus Tab having made its appearance in benchmarking site GFXBench, more news about this upcoming device should start pouring in.
