Microsoft Announces Trade-In Program for Asha Users to Upgrade to Lumia 435

Microsoft released the Lumia 435, the most affordable Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone in India last month for Rs 5,999. To entice the potential consumers further, the firm has come up with a trade-in program that is targeted at the Asha users.

The trade-in program is aimed at luring the Asha device users to upgrade to the Lumia 435. Well, Microsoft discontinued the Asha lineup of devices soon after it acquired the Nokia’s Devices and Services unit.

Eventually, those Asha users who want to upgrade to the Lumia 435 can trade in their device and receive attractive discounts. Well, the discounted price for the Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503 is Rs 1,500 and that for the Asha 305, Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310 and Asha 311 is Rs 1,000.

The Lumia 435 is based on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update and it boasts of a 4 inch LCD display with a WVGA 480×800 pixels. It is incorporated with a 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. There is 8 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 128 GB.

The imaging aspects of the Lumia 435 include a 2 MP fixed focus rear camera and a VGA front facing snapper. It is energized by a 1,560 mAh battery that can pump in up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 504 hours of standby time respectively.
