SK Telecom launches Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 in Korea for $264 approx

SK telecom, which is the South Korea’s top mobile carrier, has launched the new version of Samsung Galaxy Wide, which goes by the name Galaxy Wide 2, in Korea.

The widely acclaimed budget friendly device, Galaxy Wide 2 features same 5.5 inch HD display, which was available on Galaxy Wide, however, there is a drop in the price for this year’s variant. Galaxy Wide 2 is available for $264 approx which is cheaper by 22,000 won($19) than its last year’s variant, launched in July. Moreover, if you subscribe to SK telecom, you will get further benefits in Wide 2.

Coming to the other specs, Wide 2 now has octa cores clocked at 1.6GHz, while its previous variant had quad cores clocked at 1.2Ghz. There has been no change in the RAM or internal memory; both remain same at 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.

The camera segment also remains somewhat same with the device featuring a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, however, the battery has been increased to 3,300mAh from its previous 3,000mAh.

While white and gold color options are scrapped for Galaxy wide 2, it comes in a new color variant of silver in addition to the black color.
