Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Source Released in AOSP Today, Developers on the Case Already

“It’s out! It’s out!”. That’s what many Android developers will be shouting out loud today, as Google has released the source code for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a few days earlier than the mid-July date that Google had previously announced at Google I/O.

Some of you might say “so what?”. Well, thanks to the source being released, custom ROM developers will be able to port properly working Jelly Bean ROMs to a lot of devices, which means it will be raining jelly beans for a lot of people today and in the coming few days! Most importantly, the CyanogenMod team will be able to start working on CM10 based on Jelly Bean very soon and bring the most adored and popular custom ROM to the masses as soon as possible.

Now all you need to do is go to the XDA forums for your respective device and keep spamming the F5 button on your keyboard so you can instantly know when a Jelly Bean ROM is out for your device. The Jelly Bean mania is about to start in earnest, and no one can help but feel excited like little kid in line at a candy store. Now, where’s that F5 key?
