HTC 608t Specs leaked – 4.5″ display, quad-core processor, and Android 4.1

There’s a promise HTC has always failed to keep, a promise to dial down on the number of devices they launch every year, and this year will apparently not be any different – just a day after the HTC 606w made an appearance online, the HTC 608t, with similar specs to the 606w, has leaked as well.

The HTC 608t is expected to sport a 4.5″ display of a not so high qHD (960 x 540) resolution, that puts it squarely in the mid-range section. A 1.2GHz quad-core processor should be powering it, and other specs known right now include 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Beats Audio, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0. These are the same specs the 606w is expected to have, in which case we might even see dual front speakers on the 608t as they seem to be variants of the same device.

The 608t should launch on China Mobile in the next few weeks, while the 606w should see a launch internationally outside China. There are no confirmed details as of yet, and even a picture is missing, but such leaks usually have a knack for turning out to be true, so we should see an official announcement in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for more details on this mysterious new device.
