Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets now approved at FCC, shipping date set for November 20

Eagerly waiting to get your hands on the 4G-enabled Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9″? You’ll be happy to know that the FCC has approved the device for sale, and it is set to start shipping on November 20. It is still more than a month away, but at least we now know when it is coming.

Announced back in September, the tablet was to yet to get approval from the FCC and Amazon had announced that pre-ordering customers would be asked to confirm their order once approval was obtained, while advertisements also stated that the device required FCC’s approval. Now that FCC has approved the tablet, customers will finally have an official release date to look forward to.
