Google is pushing out a huge update to Google Maps bringing the version number jump to 8.0, which pretty much tells that a lot is on offer with this update. Moreover, thankfully, we’re not left to surprise ourselves by looking out for features upon using the updated apps. The What’s new section on Google Maps play store does tell all the good new things with this update, have a look:
Google Maps Update v8.0 changelog:
- Turn-by-turn navigation now displays distance, arrival time, and quick access to alternate routes
- Save and manage offline maps in a custom list for when you’re traveling or have a slow connection
- Transit results now display total walking time of your trip and the next scheduled bus or train
- Sign in to see your “Places to review” list from recently saved or searched-for places
- If you have the Uber app installed, open it right from Google Maps when comparing route options
- Bug fixes
The update has already pushed out globally via Play store. However if you haven’t received it yet, grab the Google Maps apk file from the link below and install it on your phone just like you’d install any other APK file.
