Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE Ice Cream Sandwich Update launched in Canada at Bell, Telus and Rogers

After months of delay, despite announcements by Telus earlier, that the Android 4.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE was on its way, it is finally out, and not just for Telus, but also Bell and Rogers.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE users on any of the big three carriers in Canada, would be pleased to know that Bell, Telus and Rogers have announced that the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for the tablet, and users are advised to check their devices for the system update notification.  The Android 4.0 update is being pushed OTA, and will also be available over Samsung KIES.

Users can also download the update manually by going to Settings  > About Tablet  > System Update on their device. So if you own a Galaxy 8.9 LTE on Bell, Telus or Rogers, and haven’t got a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich yet, its out there for you to pull down to your device.
