Galaxy S10 5G pricing and release date confirmed for Korea

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

Finally, we have an official release date and the price tag for the Galaxy S10 5G variant, at least for the Korean market.

Samsung has just revealed this detail in its home country, giving us an idea of what to expect when the phone goes on sale in the U.S. later this quarter. Yes, its April fool’s day, but this isn’t one of those jokes, especially since we already knew about the imminent arrival of the phone.

With speeds up to roughly 20 times faster than 4G networks, consumers on a 5G network can download a full season of a TV show in minutes, play graphics-rich cloud games, stream 4K video with virtually no lag and enjoy enhanced VR and AR experiences.

In Korea, fans can pre-buy the Galaxy S10 5G beginning April 5th, which is actually this week, but official sales begin on mid-April, 2019. The phone will be sold in three color choices of Majestic Black, Royal Gold and Crown Silver for the base model of 8/256GB while the premium variant of 8/512GB will be available in two colors of Majestic Black and Crown Silver.

As for their prices, the former will set you back 1.397 million Korean Won while the latter is priced at 1.556 million Korean Won. When converted, these figures equate to about $1,230 and $1,370, respectively, but we all know that traditionally, Samsung phones are usually a little costlier in Korea compared to the U.S. market.

Still, expect steep prices for the Galaxy S10 5G when it arrives in the U.S. and other European markets that have ready 5G infrastructure.

While those who pre-buy the S10 5G handset in Korea will also get a myriad of offers that include a $90 coupon to apply on any of the Galaxy Buds, Wireless Charger Duo, Wireless rechargeable battery pack, 5G logo, case wireless charging package, or the latest Galaxy Watch Active, we can’t say the same about markets outside Korea.

Of course, we should find out more about these offers alongside the pricing and availability of the Galaxy S10 5G in the U.S. pretty soon. Meanwhile, check out the links below to get a clearer picture of what this device and 5G have in store.
