AT&T, Verizon release new security updates for Galaxy S10, Moto E5 Play and E5 Go

Samsung Galaxy S10 AIO

New software updates are rolling out to AT&T and Verizon Wireless users of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, the standard, prepaid and Android Go variants of the Motorola Moto E5 Play.

AT&T users on the Galaxy S10, S10e and S10+ are receiving updates with build number ASD7, the same version that recently hit users of T-Mobile and Verizon. As part of the package, which weighs 183.53MB, at least for the standard S10, AT&T users of the trio get the latest April 2019 security patch available for the device.

We had hoped that Samsung would include the dedicated Night mode in the camera app but it seems this will have to wait until the next update.

Samsung Galaxy S10 AT&T April patch

As for the Moto E5 trio, the updates are coming in from Verizon. Apparently, the carrier says the updates contain February 2019 security patches, but given the previous updates to the standard and prepaid variants upgraded the pair to the said February 2019, we think the latest updates should tag along April patches.

Do let us know in your comments below the security patch your Moto E5 receives after the update. Where the standard and prepaid models are receiving versions ODPS27.91-167-6 and ODPS27.91-121-10 respectively, the Go edition’s update has software version OPPS28.151-22-2.

The OTA updates have just started rolling out from either carrier, so be patient since it may take several days before everyone gets the download notification.
