Samsung Galaxy Alpha, J1 Duos and Grand Neo Plus update rolling out with April security patch

Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to three Galaxy devices. The update installs April security patch and is being rolled out to Samsung Galaxy Alpha, J1 Duos and Grand Neo Plus.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha is receiving the update as build number G850FXXU2CQD2 while it arrives as build number J100MVJU0AQD1 to Galaxy J1 Duos. On the other hand, Galaxy Grand NEO Plus is getting the update as build number I9060IXXS0AQD3.

Other than installing the monthly security patch, the update also brings system improvements and fixes regular bugs. As such, it is highly recommended. The update is over the air and should hit your devices anytime now, in case if you haven’t received it yet. To check for it manually, head to Settings > About device > System updates.

Last week, Samsung released April security patch to a couple of its other devices which include Galaxy Tab A, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE, Galaxy On7 (2016) and S4 Value Edition.
