Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 specs leaked via benchmark

The first Galaxy Ace was a roaring success in the mid-range market, so naturally Samsung followed its success by launching the Ace 2. Now, the Ace 2 wasn’t nearly as successful as the first one, but Samsung apparently doesn’t care and is already working on the Galaxy Ace 3, which has been confirmed by its appearance on the GLBenchmark website.

The Galaxy Ace 3 will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core Broadcom processor and a VideoCore IV GPU, which is similar to the Galaxy S2 Plus and points at this chipset being Samsung’s new favourite for mid-range devices right now. The display resolution remains the same at 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA), which isn’t unexpected considering the rumored €300 price tag attached to the device.

One thing Samsung has been ahead at since 2013 is that they’ve been using the latest version of Android available on a new device, and that continues with the Galaxy Ace 3 – the benchmarks lists it as running on Android 4.2.2, no doubt with the latest iteration of TouchWiz Nature UX (without some of the frills you’ll find on the Galaxy S4.) Say what you will about Samsung, but that’s respectable and quite an advantage for consumers.

No other specs are known yet, but we can expect the Ace 3 to sport a 4″ display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD slot, 5-megapixel camera and 720p video recording, NFC, and maybe even a dual SIM variant for Asian markets. These specs are just a part of rumors though, so take them with a pinch of salt.

What do you think? Anyone who would be even remotely interested in buying the Galaxy Ace 3?
