Galaxy A5 (2015) and Galaxy A7 (2016) gets January security update, builds A500F1U1CQA1 and A710LKLU1BQA4

Samsung has started pushing out a new security update to its Galaxy A5 (2015) and Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphones. The update brings along security patches for the month of January.

Arriving as build number A500F1U1CQA1 and A710LKLU1BQA4 for the Galaxy A5 2015 and Galaxy A7 2016 units respectively, the update is the usual monthly security update which comes with bug fixes and enhanced stability.

In case, you are set to download the update, it is advisable to keep a few things in mind. You Galaxy handsets should be at least 50 percent charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network.

To check for the update, you can head to Settings > About device > Download updates.

Notably, the original Galaxy A5 (2015) will soon receive the Android Nougat update, as the testing is already underway.
