Early in the year when Samsung finally released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+, hopeful users of mid-range devices like the Galaxy A5 2017 edition felt that their time to shine would come soon too. We had recently reported that Canadian network carrier Fido is expected to launch Oreo update for Galaxy A5 2017 by the end of June, and although the update is a week late, it is finally landing on devices across the Great White North.
