OnePlus 3 and 3T get update that fixes Blueborne security issue and installs new boot animation

OnePlus has started rolling out a new OxygenOS Open Beta update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. Just 2 weeks back, both the devices received Oxygen OS Open Beta update that brought “Shot on OnePlus watermark” feature among other features.

While OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T were on OpenBeta 23 and 15 respectively, the new update arrives as Open Beta 24 and Open Beta 15 for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T respectively.

The latest update brings a new boot animation to both the devices and also adds ‘Soft’ screen calibration, which you can enable in the Display >Screen settings.

Further, the update also brings BlueBorne patch independent of the September security patch. Blueborne is an attack vector that can target your device through Bluetooth. It spreads via air and the only requirement is Bluetooth should be on for your device. No pairing is required.

While most of the OEMs have bundled Blueborne patch along with September security patch, as per OnePlus, it arrives independently on OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

The update also brings minor bug fixes and under the hood performance improvements. However, the update doesn’t bring Oreo Beta yet.
