AT&T announces the LG Stylo 4+, a budget Android phone with a stylus

For several weeks now, the LG Stylo 4 has been selling in the U.S. through T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless and the unlocked variant through Amazon and the official LG store, but beginning September 28th, AT&T will start selling the LG Stylo 4+, which, as you’d expect, is a superior variant of the standard Stylo 4.

AT&T won’t be the first carrier in the U.S. to stock the LG Stylo 4+. The phone is already available for users of Boost Mobile, but it appears that the model coming to AT&T is more of the standard model than the Plus variant, as seen below.

LG Stylo 4+ specs

  • 6.2-inch 18:9 FHD+ FullVision LCD display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB expandable storage
  • 16MP back and 5MP front cameras
  • 3300mAh battery
  • Android 8.1 Oreo
  • Extras: IP68, microSD, DTS:X 3D audio rendering, Stylus, GIF capture, 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 4.2, Fast battery charging, portrait mode, etc.

On the outside, the LG Stylo 4+ looks identical to the standard Stylo 4, however, you are getting a better 16MP camera on the back of the former as opposed to the latter’s 13MP shooter, but the selfie camera remains unchanged. In fact, basically all the other stuff are the same between the two devices, including the standout support for a stylus and IP68 dust and water resistance at this price point.

Speaking of price, AT&T hasn’t published the official asking price of the LG Stylo 4+, but given the device goes for $280 on Boost Mobile, we don’t expect anything out of the $300 region. We’ll know the actual pricing on September 28th when the phone officially starts selling on the carrier.
