Vodafone Australia releases Xperia Z5 Android 7.1 update and Galaxy Tab S2 VE Android 7.0 update

Vodafone Australia is rolling out a new software update to Sony Xperia Z5 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 VE. The update installs Android 7.1 Nougat OS in Xperia Z5 while it brings the taste of Android 7.0 Nougat to Galaxy Tab S2 VE.

Vodafone Australia has updated its software update page to reveal that Xperia Z5 is receiving Android 7.1 update. This was expected as the page earlier had shown the device being tested for this update.

Notably, the unlocked variants of Xperia Z5 started soaking in the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update last month.  The update moved the build number from 32.3.A.2.33 to version 32.4.A.0.160.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 VE is also receiving Nougat update on Vodafone Australia carrier. The unlocked variant of the tablet first received Nougat update back in April in the US, followed by other regions. The carrier variants in the US followed suit starting with T-Mobile, then Sprint and AT&T.
